RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am very interested in pursuing research questions related to the spectrum in which we find exotic animals in captivity, specifically felids.

The comparison of captive animals versus wild animals has been previously studied, however, I am interested in the individuals that fall in the greyer areas between wild and captivity – reintroduced animals and "ambassador" animals.

I am studying the effects of human interference and the influence of captive environments on behavioral flexibility (including problem-solving and innovation) of cheetahs living along what I refer to as the spectrum of captivity.
